Description
Occurs when the amount of time specified by the TIMER property has passed.
Syntax
bforward = TIMER (ctrlentID, ctrlclassID)
Parameters
TIMER accepts arguments for the following parameters:
Parameter | Description |

ctrlentID | Has the format WindowName.ControlName, where WindowName is the identifier of the window that contains the control effected, and ControlName is the identifier of the control. Notice that a period separates the two values. |
ctrlclassID | The type of control that recognizes the event. The window control type is the only valid entry. |
Returns
True or false. If false, the program execution returns to the calling procedure. If true, the event processing goes to the next level.

Remarks
To stop the generation of TIMER events, set the TIMER property to 0 (zero) for the window specified by the ctrlentID parameter.
