Description
Inserts a record into the DataSet object.
Syntax
bforward = DSOINSERT (ctrlentID, ctrlclassID, DSOID, insertlocation, InitRow)
Parameters
DSOINSERT accepts arguments for the following parameters.

| ctrlentID | Has the format WindowName.ControlName, where WindowName is the identifier of the window that contains the affected control, and ControlName is the identifier of the control. Notice that a period separates the two values. | |||
| ctrlclassID | The type of control that recognizes the event. | |||
| DSOID | The name of the DataSet, or the ordinal number of the DataSet (its position in the list of DataSets that appears in the Form Designer's Edit Selection Criteria dialog box). | |||
| insertlocation | Boolean flag that positions where record will be inserted.
| |||
| InitRow | For databases that require data on insert, an @FM delimited array of values for the new record. |
Returns
True or false. If false, then program execution returns to the calling procedure. If true, then event processing goes to the next level.

Remarks
If this event is sent to a control rather than a form, it is assumed that any visual effects of the action on this control have already occurred. For example, the QuickEvents DSODELETEROWET and DSOINSERTROWET can be placed on the DELETEROW and INSERTROW events of an edit table to keep the Form and DataSet in sync.
